🌲 Privacy Policy

Little Steps for Little Ones (“Little Steps,” “we,” “us”) is a baby-tracking app that helps parents and caregivers log their little one’s daily care. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email us at hello@littlestepsforlittleones.com.

Information we collect

  • Account: your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code. We do not use passwords.
  • Caregiver profile: a display name and relationship (e.g. “Mom”) that you optionally provide.
  • Little one details: the information you enter about your child, such as name, birth date, an optional photo, and unit preferences.
  • Activity logs: the care events you record, including feedings, diapers, sleep, pumping, growth measurements, temperature, medicine, baths, activities, and any notes.
  • Purchases: whether you have unlocked the paid features. Payments are processed by Apple; we and our provider RevenueCat receive a record that a purchase occurred, not your payment card details.
  • On-device settings: preferences such as night mode and your reminder settings are stored on your device.
  • Camera: if you choose to scan an invite QR code, the camera is used only to read that code. The image is processed on your device and is never saved, uploaded, or sent to us. You can skip this entirely and type the code instead.

How we use your information

  • To provide the app: saving your logs and syncing them across your devices.
  • To share an individual little one with caregivers you explicitly invite with a code. An invite covers only the little one you chose, works once, expires after seven days, and also requires that person to enter that little one’s birth date. You can see everyone who has access and remove them at any time.
  • To send the reminders you choose to turn on (delivered as notifications on your device).
  • To determine whether you have access to paid features.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not run third-party analytics or tracking in the app.

Where your data is stored

Your account and logs are stored in our hosted database provided by Supabase, protected by per-account access rules so that only you and caregivers you invite can see your little one’s data. Data is encrypted in transit. Purchase status is handled with Apple and RevenueCat.

Who can see your data

Only you, the caregivers you invite to a shared little one, and the service providers that operate the app on our behalf (Supabase for storage and authentication, RevenueCat and Apple for purchases). We disclose information only as needed to run the app or if required by law.

Children’s information

Little Steps is intended for use by parents and caregivers, who are adults. Information about a child is entered by the adult using the app; children do not use the app or create accounts.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete individual entries at any time. You can also delete all of your data and your account from within the app (Profile, then Clear all data or Delete account), which removes your little ones, logs, and account information. For help with deletion, email us at hello@littlestepsforlittleones.com.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device and only appear if you turn them on. You can disable them anytime in the app or in your device settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date at the top of this page when we do.
